Summary
Findings link tumor genotype with the immune microenvironment, and explain why MSI tumors are not naturally eliminated despite a hostile Th1/CTL microenvironment, and suggest that blockade of specific checkpoints may be selectively efficacious in the MSI subset of CRC.
