Summary

Combined phenotypic and functional analyses of CD4+CD25−Foxp3+ T cells revealed increased proportions in SLE patients as compared with patients with systemic sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, (RA), or HC and their selective functional defects might contribute to the failure of Treg to control autoimmune dysregulation in Sle patients.
