Summary

Interestingly, PMA reduced cleavage induced by the topoisomerase II-reactive DNA intercalator 4'-(9-acridinylamino)methanesulfon-m-anisidide by 2-fold, suggesting that specific drug-DNA interactions could partially overcome the PMA-induced effect that resulted in decreased etoposide-induced, topoisomers enzyme II-mediated DNA cleavage.
