Summary

Preliminary experiments indicate that the amino acid incorporation enzyme is involved in protein biosynthesis in mammalian as well as in bacterial cells and may be of significance in view of the fact that glutathione synthetase, an enzyme involved in the synthesis of a typical peptide, catalyzes a similar exchange of ADP with ATP.
