Summary

Strong anti‐Listeria activity was often correlated with essential oils containing a high percentage of monoterpenes, eugenol, cinnamaldehyde, thymol, and sometimes with citronellol, limonene and geraniol, but there was also a difference in activity between different samples of the same essential oil.
