Summary
Virazole is a synthetic nucleoside active in tissue culture against at least 16 DNA and RNA viruses and applied topically, it inhibits herpetic keratitis in rabbits and tail lesions induced by herpes, vaccinia, and vesicular stomatitis viruses in mice.
