Summary

In food- Deprived but not water-deprived rats, infusion of hypertonic NaCl concurrent with glucose sham feeding rapidly inhibited feeding, relative to isotonic NaCl, and was about as effective as i.g. glucose itself in bringing the ingested bout to an end.
