Summary
Ch Chromosome banding analyses revealed that in the wheat cultivars carrying Lr18, which had been bred in 6 different countries, chromosome arm 5BL possessed a specific terminal band not carried by their susceptible parental cultivars, and it was suggested that this terminal N-band was introduced from T. timopheevi together with Lr 18.
