Summary

The published studies so far demonstrated that prasugrel shows a higher degree of effectiveness in the prevention of platelet-initiated thrombotic events in patients with ACS undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), however these benefits are offset somewhat by an increased bleeding risk.
