Summary
An easy to apply clinical score, the Baseline-Event-Anticipation (BEA) Score, can help to identify patients with a more severe course of hepatitis delta, and interferon alpha seems to be the only treatment option with antiviral efficacy against HDV, as well as an improved clinical outcome.
