Summary
These experiments support, and extend to endothelium, earlier observations that in growing cells pinocytosis proceeds at a higher rate than in non‐growing, quiescent cells, and raise the possibility that the transendothelial transport of macromolecules such as lipoproteins by receptor‐in‐dependent fluid pinocyTosis in vivo may be altered by the growth status of the endot Helium.
