Summary

The organization of the ORFs from ORF44 to ORF638 resembles the organization of genes in the rpmH-gyrB region of the E. coli chromosome, and comparison of amino acid sequences revealed that ORF 44, ORF446, ORf378 and ORF323 are homologous with rpmH, dnaA, dnuN and recF of Escherichia coli.
