Summary
Penicillin successfully treated the pathogens derived from odontogenic abscess sufficiently when adequate surgical treatment was provided, suggesting that one good reason for its clinical efficacy is the susceptibility of the dominant aerobe/facultative aerobe and anaerobe strains to penicillin.
