Comprehensive screening of glycation adducts revealed the relative and quantitative importance of alpha-oxoaldehyde-derived advanced glycation endproducts in physiological modification of proteins-particularly hydroimidazolones, the efficient renal clearance of freeAdducts, and the marked increases in glycationadducts in diabetes and uraemia.
