Summary

It is concluded that fast (m.g.) and slow (sol.) alpha-motoneurones have qualitatively different properties, suggesting that alterations in the motoneurone properties observed after section of the muscle nerves resulted from axotomy of the mot oneurones rather than from sensory deprivation.
