Summary
It is important to point out that the problem of transcriptionally active chromatin has two aspects: 'structural ' which refers to the structural characteristics of transcribed chromatin and 'informational ' , concerned with the problem how different DNA sequences are selected to become permanently repressed, potentially active or active.
