Summary

The data suggest that the 21-kDa polypeptide of LHC-I is the chlorophyll-containing polypePTide responsible for the long-wavelength fluorescence of L HC-I; other polyPEptides in the complex presumably bind chlorophylla and also serve an antennae function.
