Summary

A `zero-potential' surface smoothing technique is introduced, along with a space-dependent convolution kernel and space- dependent normalization, which gives a remarkable visual `feel' of the biological structures, not usually perceivable to the untrained eyes in conventional 2-D atlas to image analysis.
