Summary
It is suggested that cells infiltrating the site of the 24-h tuberculin reaction preferentially transcribe mRNA encoding IFN-gamma and IL-2, supporting the hypothesis that delayed-type hypersensitivity is associated with preferential activation of cells having a cytokine profile similar to the murine Th1 subset.
