Summary
A de novo assembly of the transcriptomes both of symbiotic anemones from a clonal line and of their endogenous dinoflagellate symbionts is reported, which led to the identification of >900 differentially expressed transcripts and has allowed us to generate testable biological hypotheses about what cellular functions are affected by symbiosis establishment.
