It is revealed that the loss of mitochondrial membrane potential and the release of cytochrome (Cyt) c into the cytosol from mitochondria lead to theactivation of apoptotic degradation processes, including the activation of specific cysteine proteases, called caspases, followed by the activated of specific DNases.
