Two groups of experiments are discussed in this thesis, procedural memory consolidation during sleep and wakefulness, and memory modulation using electrical brain stimulation, to study the contribution of emotion in consolidation of procedural skill learning and the effects of long‐ and short‐duration stimulation of left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex on verbal episodic memory.
