Summary
The results revealed the presence of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, anthraquinone and cardiac glycoside while the methanol extract, petroleum ether and ethyl acetate fractions exhibited significant anti-inflammatory activities when compared to the effect of the reference drug Diclofenac sodium.
