Summary
Initial investigations indicate that the reduced TNF-alpha protein levels in leukocytes might either be evoked by interference of ANP in transcriptional or posttranscriptional processes, and may represent a promising beneficial autocrine substance in modulating early inflammatory signaling pathways.
